Triple Fusions Explained: How to Get Them in Infinite Fusion
How to unlock triple fusions in Pokemon Infinite Fusion, every legendary and starter triple fusion with its in-game BST, and how types work.
Pokemon Fusion Pro Team
A triple fusion is one Pokemon made from 3 Pokemon. In Pokemon Infinite Fusion, triple fusions are special: only certain legendary trios and starter trios can be triple-fused, each has fixed stats and a hand-drawn sprite, and you get them in the late post-game. The fan wiki lists 25 obtainable triple fusions. The strongest is Regiregi, with 730 BST.
How to Get Triple Fusions in Pokemon Infinite Fusion
You unlock triple fusions by catching Kyurem and then visiting Colress at Mt. Moon. There are 4 steps:
- Beat the main story; triple fusions are a late post-game feature.
- Bring the Black Stone and the White Stone to Colress at the Lake of Rage, then catch Kyurem.
- Find Colress at Mt. Moon, where Team Rocket first tried to make a triple fusion.
- Talk to him with the 3 Pokemon in your party. He clones them and gives you an egg with the triple fusion. Each trio works only once.
During the story you also battle Zapmolcuno, the fusion of the 3 legendary birds made by Team Rocket.
Triple Fusions and Their In-Game Stats
The game's triple fusions have hand-set stats, so they do not follow a formula. The table compares the in-game BST with the simple average our calculator uses:
| Triple fusion | Pokemon | In-game types | In-game BST | Calculator BST |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zapmolcuno | Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos | Ice/Fire/Electric + Flying | 581 | 578 |
| Enraicune | Entei, Raikou, Suicune | Fire/Water/Electric | 581 | 577 |
| Kyodonquaza | Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza | Water/Ground/Flying | 674 | 670 |
| Paldiatina | Palkia, Dialga, Giratina | Dragon + Ghost/Steel/Water | 678 | 678 |
| Zekyushiram | Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem | Dragon + Ice/Fire/Electric | 672 | 671 |
| Celemewchi | Mew, Celebi, Jirachi | Psychic + Grass/Steel | 600 | 600 |
| Deosectwo | Mewtwo, Deoxys, Genesect | Bug/Steel/Psychic | 626 | 624 |
| Regiregi | Regice, Regirock, Registeel | Ice/Rock/Steel | 730 | 580 |
| Venustoizard | Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise | Fire/Water/Grass | 530 | 529 |
| Megaligasion | Meganium, Typhlosion, Feraligatr | Fire/Water/Grass | 516 | 528 |
| Swamptiliken | Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert | Fire/Water/Grass | 532 | 530 |
| Torterneon | Torterra, Infernape, Empoleon | Fire/Water/Grass | 531 | 527 |
| Cheninphox | Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja | Fire/Water/Grass | 653 | 530 |
10 of these 13 in-game triple fusions are stronger than the average of their parents. Regiregi stands out with 200 Defense and 200 Sp. Def, and Cheninphox has 653 BST, far above any other starter trio.
Starter Triple Fusions Evolve
A starter trio hatches as the first-stage triple fusion and evolves twice. All starter triple fusions are Fire/Water/Grass:
| Starters | Evolution line |
|---|---|
| Generation 1 | Bulbmantle → Ivymelortle → Venustoizard |
| Generation 2 | Totoritaquil → Baylavanaw → Megaligasion |
| Generation 3 | Torkipcko → Gromarshken → Swamptiliken |
| Generation 4 | Turcharlup → Prinfernotle → Torterneon |
| Generation 6 | Chennekie → Brailladier → Cheninphox |
How Triple Fusion Types Work
In-game triple fusions can have up to 4 types, and some share a type slot. Zapmolcuno counts Ice, Fire and Electric as one slot, plus Flying. More types mean more resistances, but stacked weaknesses too: a type that 2 of the types are weak to deals 4× damage, and 3 deal 8×.
How Our Triple Fusion Calculator Works
Our Triple Fusion Calculator works with any 3 of the 1,025 Pokemon. It uses 2 simple rules:
- Stats: each stat is the average of the 3 parents, rounded down, so the order does not change the stats.
- Types: the first type of each parent, then second types, up to 3 types.
For example, it makes Artltrdos from Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos: Ice/Fire/Electric with 578 BST. Use it for fan designs and theorycrafting; use the table above for the game's real values.
