What Is a Pokemon Combiner?
A Pokemon combiner is a free online tool that combines two Pokemon into one new hybrid Pokemon. The first Pokemon gives the head: the face, the colors and the first type. The second Pokemon gives the body: the shape, the pose and the second type. The combiner then joins both names and blends both stat lines.
This Pokemon combiner covers all 1,025 Pokemon from Generation 1 (Kanto) to Generation 9 (Paldea), all 18 types and 1,050,625 head-and-body combinations. Many combiner sites stop at the 151 Kanto Pokemon, which allows only 22,801 combinations. Every result on this page shows the combined sprite, name, types, abilities, base stats and type matchups.
How to Combine Two Pokemon
To combine two Pokemon, pick a head, pick a body and press Combine Pokemon. The full process has 5 steps:
- Pick the head Pokemon. Type a name or Pokedex number in the first box, for example Lucario (#448).
- Pick the body Pokemon. Type a second name in the next box, for example Zoroark (#571). Use the Gen 1 to Gen 9 chips to filter by generation.
- Press Combine Pokemon. The combined sprite, name, types and stats appear in under a second.
- Swap or randomize. The swap button flips head and body. The Random Pair button combines two random Pokemon.
- Save the result. Download the sprite as a 384 × 384 px PNG, or copy a share link that reopens the same combination.
How the Pokemon Combiner Works
The Pokemon combiner works with the head-and-body rules of the Pokemon Infinite Fusion fan game. Each part of the result comes from a fixed rule, so the same two Pokemon always give the same combination.
What the Head and the Body Give
| Part of the combination | Head Pokemon | Body Pokemon |
|---|---|---|
| Sprite | Color palette | Shape, outline and pose |
| Name | First half of the name | Second half of the name |
| Type | Type 1 (its first type) | Type 2 (its second type, or its only type) |
| Main stats | HP, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def | Attack, Defense, Speed |
| Abilities | One ability | One ability |
How Combined Names Are Made
The combined name joins the first half of the head's name with the second half of the body's name. Lucario + Zoroark becomes Lucaoark, and Pikachu + Eevee becomes Pikavee.
How Combined Types Are Chosen
The combined type is the head's first type plus the body's second type. Charizard (Fire/Flying) + Gengar (Ghost/Poison) gives Fire/Poison. The combiner uses the body's other type if both slots would get the same type, and the result has one type only if no second type is left.
How Combined Stats Are Calculated
Each combined stat takes two thirds from the dominant Pokemon and one third from the other, rounded down. HP, Sp. Atk and Sp. Def use (2 × Head + Body) ÷ 3. Attack, Defense and Speed use (2 × Body + Head) ÷ 3. Here is the full math for Lucario + Zoroark:
| Stat | Lucario Head | Zoroark Body | Calculation | Lucaoark |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HP | 70 | 60 | (2 × 70 + 60) ÷ 3 | 66 |
| Attack | 110 | 105 | (2 × 105 + 110) ÷ 3 | 106 |
| Defense | 70 | 60 | (2 × 60 + 70) ÷ 3 | 63 |
| Sp. Atk | 115 | 120 | (2 × 115 + 120) ÷ 3 | 116 |
| Sp. Def | 70 | 60 | (2 × 70 + 60) ÷ 3 | 66 |
| Speed | 90 | 105 | (2 × 105 + 90) ÷ 3 | 100 |
| Total (BST) | 525 | 510 | 517 |
Lucaoark ends with 517 BST: between Zoroark's 510 and Lucario's 525. Load this combination in the tool.
Combination Order Changes the Result
Yes, the order of the two Pokemon changes the combined Pokemon. Head and body swap their roles, so the sprite, name, type and stats all change.
| Combination | Name | Type | BST | 4× weakness |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lucario + Zoroark | Lucaoark | Fighting/Dark | 517 | Fairy |
| Zoroark + Lucario | Zoroario | Dark/Steel | 513 | Fighting |
| Charizard + Gengar | Charigar | Fire/Poison | 512 | Ground |
| Gengar + Charizard | Genizard | Ghost/Flying | 519 | None |
Genizard (Ghost/Flying) has no 4× weakness and 3 immunities (Normal, Fighting and Ground), while Charigar (Fire/Poison) is 4× weak to Ground. Try both orders before you pick a favorite combination.

Who Uses a Pokemon Combiner?
Pokemon combiners are used by 5 main groups:
- Fan artists who need a color and shape reference before drawing a combined Pokemon.
- Pokemon Infinite Fusion players who compare two catches before using a DNA Splicer.
- Nuzlocke players who check type matchups for a fused team.
- Content creators who make "guess the combination" videos and posts.
- Writers and game masters who need new creatures for stories and tabletop games.
Can You Combine Pokemon in Official Games?
Yes, but official Pokemon games combine only a few legendary Pokemon. There are 3 official fusion pairs:
- Kyurem combines with Reshiram or Zekrom in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, using the DNA Splicers.
- Necrozma combines with Solgaleo or Lunala in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, using the N-Solarizer and N-Lunarizer.
- Calyrex combines with Glastrier or Spectrier in Pokemon Sword and Shield: The Crown Tundra, using the Reins of Unity.
Pokemon GO added Fusion for Necrozma in 2024. To combine any two Pokemon, use a fan tool like this combiner or the fan game Pokemon Infinite Fusion.
