What Are Pokemon Fusion Games?
Pokemon fusion games are fan-made games and web tools that let you combine two Pokemon into one new creature. Some are full adventures in which you catch, fuse and battle with fusions; others are simple generators that mix two sprites and names. All Pokemon fusion games are unofficial: Nintendo and Game Freak have never released a game where you can fuse any two Pokemon.
Best Pokemon Fusion Games
The best Pokemon fusion game is Pokemon Infinite Fusion, and the best one you can play in a browser is PokeRogue. Here are 5 fusion games compared:

|---|---|---|---|
| Pokemon Infinite Fusion | Full fan-made RPG | Windows (Android via JoiPlay) | Free |
| PokeRogue | Roguelite battle game | Web browser | Free |
| Japeal's Pokemon Fusion Generator | Sprite fusion toy | Web browser | Free |
| Alex Onsager's Pokemon Fusion | Generation 1 sprite fusion toy | Web browser | Free |

1. Pokemon Infinite Fusion
Pokemon Infinite Fusion is the biggest Pokemon fusion game: a full RPG in which you can fuse almost any two of its 576 Pokemon. You travel through Kanto, Johto and the Sevii Islands, earn 16 badges, and fuse Pokemon with DNA Splicers. The head gives the colors and Type 1; the body gives the shape and Type 2. About 55% of its 331,799 fusions have a hand-drawn custom sprite.
It is free and runs on Windows, and on Android through JoiPlay. Read the complete Infinite Fusion guide or the download guide.
2. PokeRogue
PokeRogue is a free browser roguelite in which you battle through waves of Pokemon and can fuse 2 party Pokemon with DNA Splicers. A PokeRogue fusion combines the types, moves and abilities of both Pokemon and averages their stats. It runs in a web browser, so it is the easiest fusion game to try without installing anything.
3. Japeal's Pokemon Fusion Generator
Japeal's Pokemon Fusion Generator mixes the sprites of any two Pokemon from Generation 1 to 9. It is a creative toy rather than a game: you pick 2 Pokemon and get a fused picture and name. Pokemon Infinite Fusion is based on this generator.
4. Alex Onsager's Pokemon Fusion
Alex Onsager's Pokemon Fusion is one of the first fusion websites, and it only uses the 151 Generation 1 Pokemon. It swaps the face and colors of one Pokemon onto the other and creates a mixed name, with a random button for quick fusions.
5. Cassette Beasts
Cassette Beasts is a paid monster-collecting RPG with its own monsters, not Pokemon, in which any two forms can fuse in battle. Choose it if you want an official, polished fusion game instead of a fan project.
Official Pokemon Games With Fusion
Official Pokemon games only have 3 special fusions, each between one legendary and one partner.
| Pokemon | Fuses with | Item | First game |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kyurem | Zekrom or Reshiram | DNA Splicers | Black 2 and White 2 |
| Necrozma | Solgaleo or Lunala | N-Solarizer or N-Lunarizer | Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon |
| Calyrex | Glastrier or Spectrier | Reins of Unity | Sword and Shield (The Crown Tundra) |
Pokemon Infinite Fusion took the DNA Splicers from Black 2 and White 2 and made them work on any two Pokemon.
Pokemon Fusion Games You Can Play in a Browser
The fusion tools on this site run in any browser, on phones and school Chromebooks, with no download. They use the Pokemon Infinite Fusion rules for types and stats:
- Pokemon Fusion Generator: fuse any two of all Generation 1 to 9 Pokemon.
- Random Fusion Generator: a random fusion in one click.
- Triple Fusion Calculator: fuse 3 Pokemon at once.
- Team Builder: build a team of 6 fusions and check its weaknesses.
For example, Gyarados + Dragonite makes Gyaronite, a Water/Flying fusion with 566 BST.
Fusion Challenges to Play With Friends
You can turn the browser tools into a fusion game with 3 simple challenges:
- BST battle: each player rolls 3 random fusions; the highest total BST wins.
- Team draft: take turns picking Pokemon with the Pokemon Picker, fuse your picks, and compare teams in the Team Builder.
- Guess the fusion: one player makes a fusion and shares only the sprite; the others guess the head and the body.
Are Pokemon Fusion Games Free and Safe?
Yes, fan-made Pokemon fusion games are free, and they are safe when you download them from their official sources. Fan games cannot be sold, so never pay for Pokemon Infinite Fusion or any "premium" fusion app. Download Infinite Fusion only from PokéCommunity or its official Discord, and play PokeRogue on its official website.
