What Is the Pokemon Infinite Fusion Calculator?
The Pokemon Infinite Fusion Calculator is a free tool that calculates the stats, types, abilities and weaknesses of any fusion in the fan game Pokemon Infinite Fusion. You choose a head Pokemon and a body Pokemon, and the calculator applies the game's fusion rules to show the exact fused Pokemon before you use DNA Splicers in the game.
The calculator shows the formula next to every stat, so each number can be checked by hand. It covers all 1,025 Pokemon, including Pokemon that are not in the game's own dex, so you can also use it for fan art and theorycrafting.
How to Use the Infinite Fusion Calculator
To use the Infinite Fusion Calculator, pick a head and a body and press Calculate Fusion. There are 5 steps:
- Pick the head Pokemon. The head sets Type 1, HP, Sp. Atk and Sp. Def.
- Pick the body Pokemon. The body sets Type 2, Attack, Defense and Speed.
- Press Calculate Fusion. The fused stats appear with the formula for each line.
- Read the type matchups for 4× and 2× weaknesses, resistances and immunities.
- Press Invert to calculate the other fusion order.
How Infinite Fusion Calculates Stats
Pokemon Infinite Fusion calculates each fused stat as (2 × dominant parent + other parent) ÷ 3, rounded down. The head is dominant for 3 stats and the body for the other 3:
| Stat | Dominant | Formula |
|---|---|---|
| HP | Head | floor((2 × Head + Body) ÷ 3) |
| Attack | Body | floor((2 × Body + Head) ÷ 3) |
| Defense | Body | floor((2 × Body + Head) ÷ 3) |
| Sp. Atk | Head | floor((2 × Head + Body) ÷ 3) |
| Sp. Def | Head | floor((2 × Head + Body) ÷ 3) |
| Speed | Body | floor((2 × Body + Head) ÷ 3) |
The calculator opens with Charizard as the head and Blastoise as the body. The full math for Charitoise:
| Stat | Charizard Head | Blastoise Body | Calculation | Charitoise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HP | 78 | 79 | (2 × 78 + 79) ÷ 3 | 78 |
| Attack | 84 | 83 | (2 × 83 + 84) ÷ 3 | 83 |
| Defense | 78 | 100 | (2 × 100 + 78) ÷ 3 | 92 |
| Sp. Atk | 109 | 85 | (2 × 109 + 85) ÷ 3 | 101 |
| Sp. Def | 85 | 105 | (2 × 85 + 105) ÷ 3 | 91 |
| Speed | 100 | 78 | (2 × 78 + 100) ÷ 3 | 85 |
| Total (BST) | 534 | 530 | 530 |
Both Fusion Orders Compared
Every pair of Pokemon makes 2 different fusions, one for each order. The table compares Charitoise and Blastizard:
| Stat | Charitoise (Charizard head) | Blastizard (Blastoise head) | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| HP | 78 | 78 | 0 |
| Attack | 83 | 83 | 0 |
| Defense | 92 | 85 | +7 |
| Sp. Atk | 101 | 93 | +8 |
| Sp. Def | 91 | 98 | -7 |
| Speed | 85 | 92 | -7 |
| Type | Fire/Water | Water/Flying | |
| 4× weakness | None | Electric | |
| BST | 530 | 529 | +1 |
The BST is almost the same, but the typing is not: Blastizard is 4× weak to Electric, while Charitoise has no 4× weakness.
How Infinite Fusion Typing Works
Infinite Fusion typing follows 1 main rule and 2 special cases.
The Head and Body Rule
The fusion takes the head's first type as Type 1 and the body's second type as Type 2. If the body has only one type, its only type is used. Gengar (Ghost/Poison) + Machamp (Fighting) gives Ghost/Fighting, immune to Normal and Fighting.
The Same-Type Rule
If the body's second type is the same as the head's first type, the body gives its other type. Grimer (Poison) + Oddish (Grass/Poison) gives Poison/Grass, not a pure Poison fusion.
The Normal/Flying Exception
Normal/Flying Pokemon pass on only their Flying type, as the head or as the body. Pidgeot (Normal/Flying) + Charizard gives Flying/Fire, and Snorlax + Staraptor (Normal/Flying) gives Normal/Flying. The calculator applies this rule to every Normal/Flying Pokemon, from Pidgey to Squawkabilly.
Fusion Abilities
A fused Pokemon can have an ability from either parent. The calculator lists the head's first ability, the body's ability and both hidden abilities. Charitoise lists Blaze, Torrent, Solar Power / Rain Dish. Choose the ability that fits your plan, for example Solar Power for a sun team or Rain Dish for a rain team.
DNA Splicers and DNA Reversers
Pokemon Infinite Fusion uses 2 main items for fusion:
- DNA Splicers fuse two Pokemon from your party. The order you pick them in sets the head and the body. Use the splicers on a fused Pokemon to unfuse it.
- DNA Reversers swap the head and the body of a fused Pokemon, which turns Charitoise into Blastizard.
The game has stronger splicer items too, such as Super Splicers and Infinite Splicers. Plan the fusion in this calculator first, so you do not waste a splicer on the wrong order.
Head or Body: Choosing the Right Order
Put each Pokemon in the slot that matches its best stats. There are 4 rules:
- Special attackers go in the head, since the head leads Sp. Atk.
- Physical attackers and fast Pokemon go in the body, since the body leads Attack and Speed.
- The type you want first goes in the head, since the head's first type always stays.
- Walls need care: Toxapex + Ferrothorn = Toxathorn gets 138 Defense and 133 Sp. Def, but only 25 Speed and a 4× Ground weakness.
For full team checks, use the Infinite Fusion Team Builder. For weaknesses only, use the Fusion Type Calculator.
Custom Sprites vs Generated Sprites
The calculator shows a generated sprite, not the game's custom sprite. Pokemon Infinite Fusion uses hand-drawn custom sprites made by its community for many fusions, and auto-generated sprites for the rest. This calculator paints the head's palette onto the body's sprite as a preview. To find the hand-drawn version, use the Custom Sprite Finder.
