What Is the Pokemon Infinite Fusion Generator?
The Pokemon Infinite Fusion Generator is a preview tool that shows any head-and-body fusion with the rules of the fan game Pokemon Infinite Fusion. It generates the fused sprite, name, types, abilities, base stats and type matchups, so you can see a fusion before you catch or splice it in the game.
The generator includes all 1,025 Pokemon, more than the game's own dex, and it can roll random fusions or show both fusion orders in one click.
How to Preview an Infinite Fusion
To preview an Infinite Fusion, pick a head and a body and press Fuse Now!. There are 4 steps:
- Pick the head: the Pokemon whose colors, Type 1 and special stats you want.
- Pick the body: the Pokemon whose shape, Type 2 and physical stats you want.
- Press Fuse Now! to generate the preview.
- Press Invert to preview the other order, or Random Pair for a surprise fusion.
The generator opens with Gengar + Charizard = Genizard, Ghost/Flying with 123 Sp. Atk and 3 immunities. The inverted fusion, Charigar, is Fire/Poison and 4× weak to Ground.
What Is Pokemon Infinite Fusion?
Pokemon Infinite Fusion is a free, fan-made Pokemon game in which you can fuse almost any two Pokemon in the game's dex. It is set in the Kanto region, runs on Windows, and was built with RPG Maker XP by its fan community. It is not made or endorsed by Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokemon Company. Read the What Is Pokemon Infinite Fusion guide for the full background.
How Many Fusions Are in Infinite Fusion?
The current Pokemon Infinite Fusion dex (version 6.6) has 576 Pokemon, which gives 331,776 head-and-body fusions, or 331,799 with the special triple fusions. The number of fusions is the number of Pokemon squared, since every Pokemon can be the head or the body:
| Pokemon pool | Pokemon | Possible fusions |
|---|---|---|
| Gen 1–2 Pokemon only | 251 | 63,001 |
| Classic Infinite Fusion dex | 420 | 176,400 |
| Current Infinite Fusion dex (version 6.6) | 576 | 331,776 |
| This generator (Gen 1–9) | 1,025 | 1,050,625 |
Fusion ID Numbers
Every Infinite Fusion has an ID made of the head's Pokedex number and the body's Pokedex number. Gengar (#94) + Charizard (#6) is fusion 94.6. The game's custom sprite files use the same pattern (head.body.png), but Pokemon after #251 use the game's own dex numbers, so their IDs can differ from the National Dex. The fusion gallery on this site shows it as #094.006. The Custom Sprite Finder explains how to find the hand-drawn sprite for a fusion ID.
Generated Previews vs the In-Game Fusion
Stats, types and type matchups in this generator match the game; sprites and names can differ. There are 3 differences:
- Sprites: the generator paints the head's palette on the body's sprite. The game shows a hand-drawn custom sprite when one exists.
- Names: the generator joins half of each name. The game uses fixed name parts for each Pokemon, so Charizard + Blastoise is "Charitoise" here and can be spelled differently in the game.
- Pokemon: the generator has all 1,025 Pokemon; the game has 576. Check the Infinite Fusion Dex before you plan a fusion for a playthrough.
