What Is a Random Pokemon Fusion Generator?
A random Pokemon fusion generator picks two random Pokemon and fuses them in one click. You do not choose the Pokemon: the generator rolls a random head and a random body, then shows the fused sprite, name, types, abilities and stats.
This random fusion generator rolls from all 1,025 Pokemon in Generation 1 to Generation 9, so there are 1,050,625 possible random fusions. A new random fusion appears every time you open the page.
How to Generate a Random Pokemon Fusion
To generate a random Pokemon fusion, press Random Pair. There are 4 ways to roll:
- Open the page. A random fusion loads by itself.
- Press Random Pair to roll a new head and a new body together.
- Set a generation chip above a box to roll that slot from one generation only, for example a Gen 1 head and a Gen 9 body.
- Change one slot by hand and press Fuse Again to keep one random Pokemon and pick the other yourself.
The Reset button loads a fixed pair: Snorlax + Gengar = Snorgar, a Normal/Poison fusion with 126 HP.
How Random Is a Random Fusion?
Every Pokemon has the same chance in each slot: 1 in 1,025. The chance of rolling one exact fusion, head and body in order, is 1 in 1,050,625. The chance of rolling the same Pokemon in both slots is 1 in 1,025, and that gives a self-fusion such as Ditto + Ditto = "Ditto".
Generation chips shrink the pool. With the same generation in both slots, the number of possible random fusions is:
| Generation | Region | Pokemon | Random fusions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gen 1 | Kanto | 151 | 22,801 |
| Gen 2 | Johto | 100 | 10,000 |
| Gen 3 | Hoenn | 135 | 18,225 |
| Gen 4 | Sinnoh | 107 | 11,449 |
| Gen 5 | Unova | 156 | 24,336 |
| Gen 6 | Kalos | 72 | 5,184 |
| Gen 7 | Alola | 88 | 7,744 |
| Gen 8 | Galar | 96 | 9,216 |
| Gen 9 | Paldea | 120 | 14,400 |
| All | Gen 1–9 | 1,025 | 1,050,625 |
Random Fusion Challenges
Random fusions work best as challenges. There are 5 popular random fusion challenges:
- Random fusion Nuzlocke: roll 6 random fusions and plan a team around them in the Team Builder.
- Drawing challenge: roll one fusion and draw it in 30 minutes, without rerolling.
- Guess the parents: share the sprite without the name and let friends guess the two Pokemon.
- Fusion of the day: post one random fusion a day in a Discord server or group chat.
- Best of 10: roll 10 random fusions and keep the one with the highest BST.
Weird and Lucky Random Fusions
Random rolls give fusions nobody would pick on purpose. Here are 4 real results:
- Magikarp + Arceus = Magieus: Water/Normal with 443 BST, more than double Magikarp's 200. The reverse, Arckarp, has 472 BST.
- Shedinja + Wailord = Shedlord: the 1 HP Pokemon with the giant whale, 57 HP as a Bug/Water fusion.
- Sunkern + Eternatus = Sunknatus: the Pokemon with one of the lowest BSTs (180) with a legendary (690), giving 420 BST and a 4× Ice weakness.
- Ditto + Ditto = Ditto: a self-fusion keeps the same name, type and stats.
Random Fusion vs Choosing Your Own
| Random fusion | Chosen fusion |
|---|---|
| Finds pairs you would not think of | Gives the exact pair you want |
| Best for challenges, art prompts and games | Best for team planning and comparisons |
| One click per fusion | Two picks per fusion |
To choose both Pokemon yourself, use the Pokemon Fusion Generator or the Pokemon Combiner. For random legendary fusions only, use Pokemon Ultimate Fusion.
Tips for Random Fusions
There are 4 tips for better random fusions:
- Save good rolls at once. Copy the share link before you press Random Pair again; a roll does not come back by itself.
- Invert every roll. The reverse fusion is a second result for free.
- Mix generations. Set a different generation chip on each box for old-and-new fusions.
- Turn on Shiny. A shiny palette changes how a random fusion looks without changing its stats.
