What Is a Triple Fusion Calculator?
A triple fusion calculator fuses three Pokemon into one and calculates the triple fusion's stats, types and abilities. You pick a head, a body and a third Pokemon, and the calculator shows a triple fusion name, up to 3 types, the averaged base stats and the type matchups.
This calculator works with all 1,025 Pokemon, so any three Pokemon can be fused: legendary trios, starter trios, Eeveelutions or your own favorites. That gives 1,076,890,625 ordered triple combinations.
How to Make a Triple Fusion
To make a triple fusion, pick three Pokemon and press Triple Fuse. There are 4 steps:
- Pick the head Pokemon: it gives the start of the name and the first type.
- Pick the body Pokemon: it gives the middle of the name and a type.
- Pick the third Pokemon: it gives the end of the name and a type.
- Press Triple Fuse to see the name, types, stats, BST and type matchups.
The calculator opens with the legendary birds: Articuno + Zapdos + Moltres = Artpdres, Ice/Electric/Fire, with 578 BST.
How Triple Fusion Stats Are Calculated
Each triple fusion stat is the average of the three parents, rounded down: (A + B + C) ÷ 3. No parent is dominant, so the order of the three Pokemon does not change the stats. Here is the math for Artpdres:
| Stat | Articuno | Zapdos | Moltres | Calculation | Artpdres |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HP | 90 | 90 | 90 | (90 + 90 + 90) ÷ 3 | 90 |
| Attack | 85 | 90 | 100 | (85 + 90 + 100) ÷ 3 | 91 |
| Defense | 100 | 85 | 90 | (100 + 85 + 90) ÷ 3 | 91 |
| Sp. Atk | 95 | 125 | 125 | (95 + 125 + 125) ÷ 3 | 115 |
| Sp. Def | 125 | 90 | 85 | (125 + 90 + 85) ÷ 3 | 100 |
| Speed | 85 | 100 | 90 | (85 + 100 + 90) ÷ 3 | 91 |
| BST | 580 | 580 | 580 | 578 |
How Triple Fusion Types Work
A triple fusion keeps up to 3 different types: the first type of each parent, then their second types if a slot is still free. Three types means more resistances, and it also means stacked weaknesses. Artpdres (Ice/Electric/Fire) is weak to Water, Fighting, Ground (4×) and Rock (4×). A weakness shared by two types counts 4×, and by three types 8×.
Order changes the type order and the name, not the stats: Gengar + Alakazam + Machamp = Geakazamp (Ghost/Psychic/Fighting), and Machamp + Alakazam + Gengar = Macakazgar (Fighting/Psychic/Ghost), both with 500 BST.
Legendary and Starter Trio Fusions
Legendary trios and starter trios make the best-known triple fusions. The table shows 7 trios calculated with this tool:
| Trio | Name | Types | BST | Weak to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Articuno + Zapdos + Moltres | Artpdres | Ice/Electric/Fire | 578 | Water, Fighting, Ground (4×) and Rock (4×) |
| Raikou + Entei + Suicune | Ranteune | Electric/Fire/Water | 577 | Ground (4×) and Rock |
| Venusaur + Charizard + Blastoise | Venrizoise | Grass/Fire/Water | 529 | Poison, Flying and Rock |
| Kyogre + Groudon + Rayquaza | Kyoudaza | Water/Ground/Dragon | 670 | Grass, Ice, Dragon and Fairy |
| Dialga + Palkia + Giratina | Dilkina | Steel/Water/Ghost | 678 | Electric, Ground, Ghost and Dark |
| Mew + Celebi + Jirachi | Mlechi | Psychic/Steel/Grass | 600 | Fire (4×), Bug, Ghost and Dark |
| Reshiram + Zekrom + Kyurem | Reskrrem | Dragon/Fire/Electric | 671 | Ground (4×), Rock and Dragon |
Mlechi (Mew + Celebi + Jirachi) has exactly 100 in every stat. Dilkina (Dialga + Palkia + Giratina) reaches 678 BST with immunities to Normal, Fighting and Poison.
Triple Fusions in Pokemon Infinite Fusion
The Pokemon Infinite Fusion fan wiki lists 25 obtainable triple fusions, each with fixed stats, types and a hand-made sprite. Most come from Colress at Mt. Moon in the late post-game. They fall into 3 groups:
- Legendary trios, such as Zapmolcuno (Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres), Enraicune (Raikou, Entei and Suicune), Kyodonquaza (Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza), Paldiatina (Dialga, Palkia and Giratina), Zekyushiram (Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem), Celemewchi (Mew, Celebi and Jirachi) and Deosectwo (Mewtwo, Deoxys and Genesect).
- Starter trios from Generation 1 to 4 and 6 at each evolution stage, such as Venustoizard (Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise) and Megaligasion (Meganium, Typhlosion and Feraligatr). They hatch from an egg in their first stage and evolve.
- Other trios: Regiregi (Regice, Regirock and Registeel), Solminiatone (Solrock, Lunatone and Minior) and Luvbrufisk (Luvdisc, Bruxish and Stunfisk).
The game's triple fusions are not calculated from a formula, so their in-game stats and types can differ from this calculator. Use this tool for theorycrafting and fan designs, and check the game's own triple fusions in a community dex.
Triple Fusion Ideas
There are 4 kinds of triple fusions worth trying:
- Eeveelution trios: Vaporeon + Jolteon + Flareon = Vaplteeon, Water/Electric/Fire.
- Box legend trios: Kyogre + Groudon + Rayquaza = Kyoudaza with 670 BST.
- Kanto classics: Gengar + Alakazam + Machamp = Geakazamp, immune to Normal and Fighting.
- Your own team: fuse your three favorite Pokemon and compare the BST with each parent.
For two-Pokemon fusions with head and body rules, use the Infinite Fusion Calculator.
